Hello World!
A few days ago, as I opened The Power Within for the tenth or hundredth edit pass, this last time I got emotional and considered, for the first time, that I can actually publish it. I have no cover and I haven't updated the previous books in the series (which desperately need an update), and I don't have any feedback yet from my two or three precious readers because I haven't sent it to anyone for review, but ... I can (and I will!) eventually do it!
Here are some somber dates:
I started writing The Thirst Within in 2012 and published it April 2013.
While writing the sequel, The Vampire Within, I took a break and wrote a novella, Corben's Thirst: The Thirst Within Part 1.5, and published it December 2014.
I finished Part 2, The Vampire Within in what seemed back then like an incredibly long time later and finally published it March 2016 ... which was over ten years ago.
And then I began writing Part 3, The Power Within. And I didn't finish it until 2024 ... I blame my other jobs (the one that pays and the ones that don't!) And when I finally finished it and began editing, my editor was a total jerk with her comments and it took me another two years till it's close enough that I feel good about writing this blog post. My editor is me :(
But here I am writing about it near the end of 2026. I REALLY really want to publish it, so I will. See you around!
